Ron Gerlitz

Ron Gerlitz holds a B.Sc in Mathematics and a M.A. in Public Policy, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and with distinction. Ron is the Executive Director of aChord Center – Social Psychology for Social Change. The center operates in the area that lies between academia and the field, and aims to bridge the gap between research on the psychology of intergroup relations and civil society organizations, government agencies, and other programs that promote shared society in Israel.

In the years 2009-2019 Ron was Co-Executive Director of Sikkuy – a shared Jewish and Arab nonprofit organization that works to advance equality and partnership between the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel and the country’s Jewish citizens. He is an expert on governmental policies toward Arab citizens and Arab-Jewish relations in Israel.

In his past, Ron worked in the high-tech sector as a senior software developer in Israel and in California.
